Malabar River Festival 2022 International Kayaking Competition Chalipuzha & Iruvazhinjipuzha Kozhikode, August 12 - 14
This year, South India's first-ever river-based competition, the eagerly anticipated Malabar River Festival, is expected to draw significant attention.
The Kerala Adventure Tourism Promotion Society (KATPS) and District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) are in charge of organising the event, and the Indian Kayaking and Canoeing Association is providing technical assistance (IKCA). The international kayaking tournament will take place from August 12 to 14 at Thusharagiri near Kozhikode. The Chalipuzha and Iruvazhinjipuzha River Festival is a major draw for adventure and water sports tourism in Kerala.
Here are the Stay Details
- Intermediate category for kayakers who are comfortable paddling class 2/3.
- Professional category for kayakers who are comfortable paddling class 3-4 grade rapids and have a solid combat roll.
- Intermediate category is for less experienced paddlers and so those kayakers who are found to misrepresent their paddling skill level in order to compete in a category that makes it unfair to fellow competitors will be liable to be disqualified from the competition.
